Xbox 360 is a cheap system to collect for, you can get almost any game for $20 or less. I'd go for a slim model just for reduced risk of hardware failure. In the early days of the ps3 and 360 yes the 360 performed better, but nowadays it's hard to tell the difference. Don't know about Dark Souls 2 but Fallout 3, Fallout NV and Skyrim perform better on the 360. . .
